We’re on the hunt for a few good people to help set up and pack down our pilgrimage sites, manage halls, and keep things clean. Yes, you’ll wear a pink vest. No, it’s not just for the ladies!

We need:
- Strong arms to lift gear and set up tents
- Two people happy to drive a small truck or van
- A cheerful cleaning crew

It’s hands-on, important work, but you’ll have fun and make new friends!

A #pilgrimage is not a retreat or a holiday. It is a public act of penance, reparation, and witness, undertaken for the glory of God and the honour of His Church: to walk to a sacred place, offering prayer and sacrifice along the way.

The Christus Rex Pilgrimage is a 90km walk from Ballarat to Bendigo, held annually on the feast of Christ the King. Pilgrims walk through the towns and countryside of Victoria, praying, singing, and bearing witness to the Kingship of Christ.

In this Jubilee Year of Hope, when the Church especially encourages pilgrimages as acts of grace and renewal, there is no better time to walk the Christus Rex Pilgrimage, whether it’s your first time or your return after many years.

On this Feast of Pentecost, as our friends in France journey from Paris to Chartres, we invite you to walk with us this October from Ballarat to Bendigo – a public act of faith in honour of Christ the King.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Quas Primas, the encyclical that instituted the Feast of Christ the King – a fitting time to join this tradition of prayer, penance, and pilgrimage.
