The Christus Rex Society Inc. is a non-profit association run entirely by volunteers from across Australia and New Zealand. Each year, we coordinate the Christus Rex Pilgrimage—a traditional Catholic pilgrimage in honour of Christ the King.

Our committee members and volunteers are also pilgrims. We give our time throughout the year to make the pilgrimage possible, while also managing our own careers, studies, and family responsibilities.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to respond to enquiries as promptly as we can.

If you have any questions about the pilgrimage, registrations, volunteering, or general enquiries, you can reach us via:

Email: info@crex.org
Phone: 0417 643 744

Do you have feedback about the Pilgrimage?

We welcome your feedback on any aspect of the Christus Rex Pilgrimage. Whether you have a suggestion for improving our operations, a testimonial to share about your experience, or thoughts for future pilgrimages, we’d love to hear from you. Your input helps us continue to serve pilgrims faithfully and ensure the pilgrimage remains a prayerful, well-organised, and spiritually enriching event for all.

Pilgrim’s Stories
  • “I very much enjoyed the Pilgrimage”

Especially Mass outside, and the joyful singing of the Rosary despite the aching feet of the many pilgrims, all of whom were kind, considerate, and happy to teach each other new chants.

  • “The Masses were absolutely beautiful.”

All the singing and praying! And meeting all the new people!

  • Meeting new people

The Mass with beautiful singing! Coming to the end of the pilgrimage with singing, praying, and bells tolling as we approach the cathedral in Bendigo.

  • “It was exceptional.”

The final mass is always the highlight of my year. But, I very much enjoyed the Saturday lunch and mass.
    – 2023 Pilgrim
  • “I am grateful for the community in Christ.”

I was there to listen and learn and to that end I couldn’t have found a better place to do just that. I had a lesson to learn and with the Love of Christ around me I heard what i needed to hear.

The Christus Rex Pilgrimage takes its name from th The Christus Rex Pilgrimage takes its name from the Feast of Christ the King, established by Pope Pius XI in 1925.

In Quas Primas, Pius XI reminded the world that Christ is King not only of our individual hearts, but of our families, our societies and our nations.

This is why we make the pilgrimage each year for the Feast of Christ the King: as a public profession of our faith, an act of reparation, and a call to conversion, both for ourselves and for our nation.
