Once registered, pilgrims will be sent access to the private Pilgrim’s Portal, where all finalised information will be published. We recommend ensuring your contact details are current and checking your inbox regularly in the lead-up to departure.

The Christus Rex Pilgrimage follows a three-day route from Ballarat to Bendigo, with key stops for meals, rest, and daily Mass. While the general structure remains the same each year, final timings, locations, and detailed scheduling are released only to registered pilgrims closer to the event for safety and logistical reasons. This ensures the smooth coordination of support crews, facilities, and spiritual activities along the way.

Pilgrims are asked to park in Bendigo and catch the private coach to Ballarat on Thursday afternoon. This ensures your vehicle is ready for you at the conclusion of the Pilgrimage. It is crucial that no vehicles are left behind in Ballarat, as there is no transport provided back after the event. Unauthorised vehicles are not permitted on the route for safety reasons.

All meals are included in your registration. From hot breakfasts to hearty dinners, our volunteer kitchen crew ensures you’re well-fed and ready for the day. Morning and afternoon teas are also provided along the route.
Basic allergies and dietary requirements are catered for—please indicate these when registering.

Pilgrims sleep either in community halls or at designated camping areas. Families and women are given priority hall access, while most pilgrims bring a sleeping mat and set up camp. Spaces are limited—register early to reserve a spot.

A well-packed bag makes all the difference. You’ll need a daypack for essentials and a larger bag for overnight use, which is transported for you. Be sure to bring warm layers, a raincoat, and items for daily Mass.
