Despite arriving at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bend Despite arriving at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bendigo cold and wet, spirits were high as we concluded the 2026 Christus Rex Pilgrimage. It was a joy to see so many pilgrims walking together in honour of Christ the King, with good spirits and perseverance even when the weather was less than kind! A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who worked tirelessly before, during and after the Pilgrimage to make this year’s event possible. From catering and logistics to safety, music, liturgy and everything in between, we simply could not do it without your generosity and dedication. We would love to hear your feedback! Join us in prayer in the lead up to next weekend’s feast day: Each day, pray: One Our Father One Hail Mary One Glory Be Followed by the Novena Prayer: O Lord our God, You alone are the Most Holy King and Ruler of all nations. We pray to You, Lord, in the great expectation of receiving from You, O Divine King, mercy, peace, justice and all good things. Protect, O Lord our King, our families and the land of our birth. Guard us, we pray, Most Faithful One. Protect us from our enemies and from Your Just Judgment. Forgive us, O Sovereign King, our sins against You. Jesus, You are a King of Mercy. We have deserved Your Just Judgment. Have mercy on us, Lord, and forgive us. We trust in Your Great Mercy. O most awe-inspiring King, we bow before You and pray: May Your Reign, Your Kingdom, be recognised on earth. Amen.
